Lakes Health Care Federal Credit Union is a member owned financial
institution which places the privacy of it's members as a top priority.
We, the Board of Directors are committed to protecting the privacy
of our members while also allowing for reasonable sharing of information
to approved vendors and agencies that provide services that we deem
beneficial to our membership.
We are committed to providing
our members with competitive products and services to meet their
financial needs, which necessitates that we share information to
complete transactions and to provide members with certain financial
opportunities. In order to do so, we have entered into agreements
with other companies that provide either services to us or additional
products for our members to consider.
Under these arrangements,
we may disclose all of the information that we collect, as described
below, to companies that perform marketing or other services on
our behalf or to our financial institutions with whom we have joint
marketing agreements. To protect our member's privacy, we will work
only with companies that agree to maintain strong confidentiality
protections and limit the use of information that we provide to
them.

and Disclose About our members
We collect and may disclose
nonpublic information about our members from the following sources:
- Information we receive
on membership and loan applications and other forms.
- Information about transactions
with us or others.
- Information that we
receive from consumer reporting agencies.
- Information obtained
when verifying the information provided to us on application or
other forms, such as current or past employees or from other institutions
where our member's conduct financial transactions.
We may also disclose information
we collect about our members under other circumstances as permitted
or required by law. These disclosures typically include information
to process transactions on our member's behalf, conduct the operations
of our credit union, follow member's instructions as they authorize,
or to protect the security of our financial records.
If a member terminates their membership with Finger Lakes Health
Care Federal Credit Union, we will not share information we have
collected about them, except as permitted or required by law.
How We Will Protect
our Member's Information
We restrict access to nonpublic
personal information about our members to those employees who have
a specific business purpose in utilizing their data. Our employees
are trained in the importance of maintaining confidentiality and
member privacy. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural
safeguards that comply with federal regulations and leading industry
practices to safeguard our member's nonpublic personal information.
A Member May Opt Put
of Certain Disclosures
If our members prefer that
we do not disclose nonpublic personal information about them to
such affiliated third parties as listed above, they may direct us
to do so by contacting us at either of our credit union offices
and requesting an "opt out" designation. |
